This year's Vacation Bible School theme is "Way to Go, Good Neighbor Tours" and all kids are welcome!

VBS description.

  • Where: Old South United Methodist Church, 6 Salem Street, Reading, MA 01867
  • When: August 6 - August 10, 2001 from 9:00am to 12 noon
  • Ages: children entering Kindergarten to those entering 5th grade as of September 1, 2000. This year we have a special preschool program on Wed. through Friday for children ages 3 and 4.

    • For the third consecutive year, Lori Vinciguerra and Liz Read, are the directors for this Vacation Bible School.

    Featuring!

    Children will travel through Jerico, Bethlehem, Emmaus, Zarephath, Sarafend, and Gaza while filling their passport books with stickers from each area.
    This year we will again be helping out by making tray favors for Reading's Meals-on-Wheels program. We will also be sponsoring a special opportunity for families to "adopt" a child in another country through Compassion International.
    Age appropriate crafts. A craft workshop will be held at Old South on Tues. May 29 at 7:30. Feel free to stop by to help prepare some of the craft materials for VBS week.
    Music, Singing, and Dancing
    Snacks that reflect the theme of VBS.

  • Request a registration form by email
  • Register at Old South United Methodist Church from now through June from 9:30 to 10:30 or from 11:45 to 12:30
  • Cost per child: $15; family maximum (siblings only): $45; cost for preschool program: $10 per child
