We're turning Old South United Methodist Church into a clubhouse of Can-Do kids this summer - and all kids are welcome! |
At "Club Can-Do: Kids Called to Care" your kids will see how children (just like themselves!) from Old and New Testaments fulfilled God's plan in Bible times. Just as God worked through those children, God will work through today's Can-Do Kids to make a difference in the world around them.
The directors of the school, Lori Vinciguerra and Liz Read, say participants will reflect the Can-Do spirit because Club Can-Do welcomes, teaches the Bible, supports mission, creates, sings, cooks, plays, cares about families, involves the Pastors, and builds a Can-Do congregation.

Can Do Kangaroo, talking in rhymes and always with a Can-Do message, will add fun and laughs to Club Can-Do. The kids will love Can-Do and the mascot's special way of teaching them to be Can-Do Kids today. |

Mission focus. Our special mission focus will will be in support of Lazarus House in Lawrence, a temporary shelter for individuals and families in crisis. We will be helping the children understand those less fortunate and show them how they can help by collecting cans for recycle, collecting donations of socks, collecting food for the food pantry, and making tray favors for meals. A special description of Lazarus house and our mission component will be sent home the first day of school. |
