Where Do We Go From Here?

Are we in a state of growth, at a plateau, or on the edge of decline? Are we functioning in a way that best reflects the size of Old South's congregation? Are we functioning in a way that does not hinder our growth? What is God calling us to do now and in the future? In light of the recent transitions in staff, we need to continue our exploration into how we can most effectively accomplish the true mission of the church. This course will use the text The In-Between Church by Alice Mann, bible reflections, current research, experiences of other churches, and the combined wisdom of our pastors and laity. We will study church size and programs (past, present, and future); dreams, goals, and focus for the future; and strategies for growth that will avoid stagnation or decline. It is vital that all present leaders participate; in addition, it would be most beneficial if all past leaders and all who love Old South (long time members, newcomers, and recent members) would join us in this important quest. We need all of you!
