The purpose of the Council on Ministries is to coordinate, oversee and promote the program ministries of this congregation. The Council's membership includes the following: a chairperson, a secretary, the pastors, the director of music, youth coordinator, the lay leader, the Administrative Board chairperson, 1lay member of the Annual conference, UMW president, young adult rep., older adult rep., Church School superintendent, Education chairperson., Adult Education coordinator, Disciple coordinator, Fellowship coordinator, Evangelism chairperson, Missions chairperson, Commission on Church and Society chairperson, Commission on Worship chairperson, Audio-Visuals coordinator, Stewardship chairperson..
We meet bimonthly to share and support the work being done by the aforementioned groups, to coordinate all activities so that they do not overlap, to facilitate short and long term goal setting and planning, and to give feedback to those who present new program ideas before they are presented to the Administrative Board for official approval. We report to the Administrative Board at its bimonthly meeting.
As Chair, you are a member of the Finance Committee (once a month) and the Administrative Board (bimonthly). The Chair also facilitates a presentation of the program ministries at the Annual Charge Conference. In addition the chair writes an annual report for the Charge Conference Booklet.
