This Commission works with pastors, Council on Ministries and/or Administrative Board to provide leadership in caring and outreach.
The commission has provided the visitors bulletin given during church services on Sunday, and the visitation folder given by pastors or laypersons at the time of visit to their homes. We maintain the literature table and provide identification tags for everyone attending church.
This commission focuses on church hospitality, membership, and spreading the word of God. It is important to Old South that visitors and members are made to feel welcome and this group does its best to be sure that every visitor and member is welcomed personally and invited to stay for fellowship after the worship service.
The Evangelism Commission helps those in times of crisis or need by offering assistance with funeral collations, meals for the convalescing, and rides to appointments through the "Project Love" program. We also support Christian growth through development of new groups and ministries.
