The Board is responsible for the capital improvements and maintenance of all church property and administration of all memorial and trust funds. They are committed to the safety, security and utilization of the building as well as its appearance and comfort. The fire alarm system, heating system, painting, roofs, etc., the meeting of health standards for food service, all come under the direction of the Board. They are also responsible for insurance coverage and investments and/or use of memorial endowment funds, subject to Charge Conference or Administrative Board direction. Some recent examples of the work the Trustees have done are, purchase and install a new stove, secure a mortgage, coordinate subcontractors for painting, plumbing and iron work, and necessary mechanical repairs.
Each member of the board is responsible for security for one month of the year. Members are also expected to volunteer for assignments based on the needs of the board. This may require 2-6 hours/month.
